The strong rootedness that has always characterized the company, proud to have been born and raised at the foot of Monviso, has led Raspini to set itself up as a model to follow in its commitment to the environment and the territory.
Proof of this is the ISO 14001 certification, achieved as early as 2004, which was followed, in 2008, by the installation of a modern photovoltaic system that has been upgraded over time.
In 2023, the system installed on the roofs of the Scalenghe plant was expanded from 50 to 500 kW, producing an impressive 550,000 kWh per year. This increase will cover much of the production site’s energy needs, and the choice of solar energy allows for a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
Environmentally conscious and close to the land

We have activated a 1,500 KW cogeneration plant, which can achieve lower consumption and environmental protection, with an annual emission reduction of 1,500 tons of CO2.
With regard to waste arising directly from Raspini’s production cycle in the two Production Units, the constant goal of reducing the amount produced and eliminating the landfilling of this type of waste by 2016 is being pursued.
Lastly, Raspini is also committed to improving the efficiency of its production activities for energy purposes and the proper use of water resources with a decrease in consumption as of the year 2013.
ENVIRONMENT, OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY
Since 2012 Raspini, together with a group of companies and associations in the livestock sector, has been supporting the “Sustainable Meats” project. An unprecedented initiative in Italy that through scientific studies and an educational approach aims to help spread balanced information on health, nutrition and sustainability.
